Two theatres. Two arcades. One very long evening.
A group of twenty always splits. Here it splits into two rooms, not a queue.
Each cabin has its own dedicated games and theatre room. Not a corner of the basement with a dartboard — a proper room, built for it, with a full-size pool table, arcade cabinets, a hundred-inch screen and seating arranged to face it rather than politely around it.
There's karaoke in both, which gets used more than anyone admits beforehand. And a poker table in each that stays permanently set up, because putting it away is how a game ends.
The Long Room at Aubade is the brighter of the two, with windows on the morning side — better for the afternoon. The Vault at Nocturne is properly dark, which is what you want at eleven o'clock.
Why this is the reason to come in February
January, February and July are the three months people forget to book a mountain — the first two because it's cold, the third because it's hot and the beach exists. All three are good here, because almost nothing about a stay depends on being outside.
